Cover or Frame Skirt
The skirt is the part around the edge or the rebounder -
The original purpose of the "spring cover,” also known
as the “frame skirt,” was to deflect your foot away from the sharp bullhorn of
the mat cleat. For many years, rebounders used a bullhorn style cleat,
but now Needak uses a cleat that has no protruding bullhorn at all. The cover, therefore, is only cosmetic and
serves no safety function.
The spring cover is not
designed for security, it is only cosmetic.
It is not designed to support the weight of a user or protect one’s feet
from falling through the springs.
